International Carnival School INCASO is a new concept in education that Rijeka Business School cherishes for the last 5 years. The winter carnival school is an opportunity to for students to work on real case studies, develop projects in marketing and improve their personal skills – while also participating and wearing masks in carnival group at Rijeka Carnival 2012.

In only 6 days with an innovative program and with commitment to excellence in education, we will provide students learning opportunity of marketing strategies and plans based on real cases of Rijeka Carnival organizational team. Further, we will provide trainings to improve decision-making, creating event budget and using marketing in event management. Marketing experts employed in real-sector will be lecturers at those training activities.

We are also giving students the opportunity to meet people from all over the Europe and this year for the first time the opportunity to participate in the third biggest carnival in the world, the 28th Rijeka Carnival. You will have the opportunity to be a part of a carnival group, wear mask and be on live TV channel broadcast.
We guarantee fun, good time among friends and a new business case experience in your CV.

The aims of INCASO 2012 International carnival school are:

  • Inquisition of knowledge about event management, event marketing and financial management of projects
  • Explore new marketing channels through social media
  • Experience in benchmarking process
  • Experience in creating media plan
  • Building team-work and conflict management skills and improving skills for work in multicultural environments


INCASO 2012 consists of four parts:

  1. Lectures/Courses (form Tuesday to Saturday)
    Different professors and consultants, real case-studies , work in small teams
  2. Trip (optional)     
    Istria Tour – half-day long tour across the most beautiful peninsula in Croatia. If You would like to apply for this trip please specify that during registration – this trip is going to be an optional activity with fee of EUR 50, that will be payed by participants in cash upon arrival at INCASO 2012. In case of a small number of interested parties for this activity, trip to Istria will not be organized.
  3. Cultural Events    
    - Gala Dinner
    - Carnival parade on Sunday
  4. Party             
    Every day a different Party – on students’ choice

Lecturers include:

Participants Workshop: All participants will have an opportunity as a group to represent their mini-project at the end of education

Soft skills: working in teams and presentation skills exercises


The International Carnival School INCASO 2012 will take place in Rijeka, Croatia.

Registration, Costs and Traveling

Participation is open to all qualified applicants, but the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 40. If we receive more applications, we will select participants based on their work area and background, geographic distribution, and date of registration.

The registration fee of EUR 200 includes a participation at all school activities, school material, accommodation in two/six bed rooms in a hostel for period of six nights, lunches and gala dinner.

For participants that wish to make their own accommodation arrangements, the registration fee is EUR 100 for participation in INCASO 2012.

Important dates

Early registration deadline: January 26, 2012
For registrations after January 26, 2012, the participation fee is going to be EUR 210 with accomodation arrangements included and EUR 110 without accomodation.

Payments must be received in the full amount on the bank account number of Visoka poslovna skola PAR (mentioned bellow) at the same time as you send Registration form. Transaction costs need to be covered by the participant.

Participants of the INCASO 2012 will have accommodation provided by Lounge hostel Carnevale. You do not need to make any further reservations or contact hostel management regarding INCASO  2012.
